Thanks to the Renewable Hydrogen Alliance for hosting us at the 2024 Legislative Policy Summit in Olympia last week. We had productive conversations with Washington policymakers, exploring opportunities for state-level action in the 2025 session and workshopping policy concepts key to the continued growth of the green hydrogen industry in the Pacific Northwest.   We look forward to more fruitful discussions around industry priorities and opportunities in 2025. #Hydrogen #CleanEnergy

We’re excited to announce that the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is preparing an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the Pacific Northwest Hydrogen Hub to advance the clean energy transition in our region. This is a significant milestone for Phase 1, bringing us a step closer to designing, building and operating a Regional Hydrogen Hub spanning Washington, Oregon and Montana. Supported by the Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations | U.S. Department of Energy, the PNWH2 Hub aims to develop and market clean hydrogen power solutions to meet the U.S.’s clean energy goals and create new economic opportunities across the region. Last week, the Pacific Northwest Hydrogen Association traveled to D.C. for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE)'s Deploy24 event.   The PNWH2 Hub’s Community Benefits Program Lead Kathleen McAteer (Washington State University Tri-Cities) spoke about reducing risk and elevating community, tribal and labor partnerships alongside Heidi Binko (Just Transition Fund) and Nancy Loewe (CelLink Corporation) as part of a larger discussion around co-investing with the U.S. government.   While in D.C., President Chris Green and Deputy Director Brian Young met with the Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations | U.S. Department of Energy to discuss updates related to the Hub’s National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) compliance.   It was great to connect with leaders and decision-makers dedicated to accelerating clean energy deployment and investment in the U.S. We look forward to next year’s Deploy event!   #PNWH2 #Deploy24 #Hydrogen #CleanEnergy #H2Hubs

The Pacific Northwest Hydrogen Association is in D.C. this week to talk about all things hydrogen at the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE)’s Deploy24 event. Following our Phase 1 funding award in July, we've been working with our projects to lay the groundwork that will demonstrate low-carbon intensity and economically viable hydrogen production. We’re looking forward to dialogue with decision-makers from across private and public sectors who are focused on accelerating deployment and investment in #cleanenergy technologies.
