Every December, the Ownership Works team comes together to celebrate a year of hard work and achievement. This year, the team gathered for our third annual holiday party, hosted by O.W. Congratulations to Apollo Opportunity Foundation on its successful Inaugural AOF Summit! The O.W. team is honored to be supported by AOF as we work together to create economic opportunity for communities across the country. At the Summit, Ownership Works Executive Director Anna-Lisa Miller joined more than 60 nonprofit leaders from AOF’s global grantee portfolio of 24 nonprofits for two days of interactive workshops, case study presentations, networking, and meaningful engagement with Apollo employees. Ownership Works is delighted to congratulate Founding Partner Building Industry Partners on its successful sale of Endeavor Fire Protection to APi Group. This sale marks Building Industry Partners' first exit of a portfolio company under its piloted broad-based employee ownership program. Endeavor Fire Protection employees were able to share in the transaction's success through this broad-based employee ownership plan — an initiative that Building Industry Partners has piloted at all of its portfolio companies since 2020. "We believe employee ownership better aligned the interests among Endeavor’s shareholders, management, and team members, contributing to Endeavor differentiating its recruitment, retention, and professional development efforts," said Matt Ogden, Managing Partner of Building Industry Partners. "This, in turn, helped the company towards becoming an employer of choice in its markets.
