  • Digital transformation means digital documents. Unlike traditional OCR software, Onymos DocKnow is made for you to use in your own app, just like if your team built it themselves. Most importantly, it connects directly to your cloud or on-prem infrastructure, so your sensitive business and customer data is never on an Onymos server. We call it “no-data” architecture. It’s why our customers trust using Onymos software in pharmacies, hospitals, and universities. Read more: https://lnkd.in/gdEn-YP5

In healthcare technology, every organization is part of a daisy chain of vendors and partners. Each link in this chain represents a potential attack surface. Almost 50% of organizations will have been victims of a software supply chain attack by 2025. So, how secure is your supply chain? Are you taking the steps needed to safeguard your organization? • 🚨 The Rise of Privacy-Conscious Customers 🚨 A DNA testing company has 'vanished' without warning, leaving customers stranded and questioning: What happens to my sensitive genetic data now? [https://lnkd.in/gu5Y5-RF] Today’s customers are digesting incidents like this and are no longer satisfied with only knowing what your company does. They’re digging deeper and asking tough questions: 1) How does your company protect my data? 2) Why do you need my information, how is it used, and who will have access to it? 3) What happens to my data if your company shuts down or is acquired? Privacy ethics have shifted from being a “nice-to-have” to a non-negotiable baseline for trust. Consumers want to work with companies that prioritize transparency, accountability, and resilience in their data practices. The message is clear: If you’re in health tech, privacy ethics must be at the core of everything you do. Customers are watching — and they’re choosing trust over convenience. #DataPrivacy #HealthcareData #GeneticTesting #SoftwareDevelopment

  • Our Founder and CEO, Shiva N., has highlighted an incredibly important issue regarding health data privacy.

I am deeply concerned about the risks of asking users to upload their health data to AI platforms.   Medical records represent highly personal and intimate aspects of an individual’s life. Your medical records are literally your deepest secrets. Once your secrets are out, they are out forever. There is no controlling who gets to know and what your medical records will be used for. Without proper safeguards, these records could become part of AI training datasets, making them accessible to employers, insurers, or other unintended parties.   Companies must do better. Companies should think long-term and not get the health records genie out of the bottle at the expense of individuals' privacy for short-term benefits. Companies need to ask themselves, where will this data end up in 10 years, 20 years or beyond and what purposes will this data be used for - good and bad. Particularly, when a company cannot know its own future over such a long period of time, how can it know what the future of the data it is now collecting from unsuspecting individuals will be?   It is not just about a particular individual's medical records' impact on himself/herself. It is about the impact on that individual's biological descendants based on that individual sharing his/her medical records. It is not in the individual's best interests to share their health data when considering their descendants. Let’s ensure the advancements we make in AI don’t come at the cost of humanity's dignity and security. https://lnkd.in/gmzEeT34
