This is remarkable faith. May we all see so clearly. #faithatwork #christianentrepreneur #leadership #dallasfortworth
Writting this tonight from my hospital bed on Thanksgiving-Eve. The IV machine noise pumping hard medicine in me to fight back my infection. Carts, beeps and whispers outside my door. Nurses, doctors, aides are in and out of my hospital room to make my pain from stage 4 cancer bearable. Medical words fly above my head as surgery Monday to remove a mass hits hard. For many people in hard circumstances, it's becoming harder and harder to be hopeful. I, with equally difficult circumstances, remain very hopeful. Thanksgiving Day is tomorrow. There will be plenty of food, football, and family, as always. But giving thanks? With cancer while in the hospital? For most of us, it can be hard to imagine both having cancer and being thankful. I have a terminal disease. I may not be alive for the next Thanksgiving. My body has been changed. I am in pain. Can anyone really expect you to be thankful? I was asked, how I managed to stay hopeful and positive throughout my cancer journey. For me, the answer is simple. My hope comes from my faith in God. Cancer is a gift. The disease has given me so many reasons to be thankful. The Bible invites us to “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus” (1 Thessalonians 5:18) Without a doubt, it’s a challenge to thank God in and certainly for cancer. Yet, “in God” it is possible! I pray you all the have the most thankful blessed day and will be reminded tomorrow as you truly reflect on the day of what you have. I am thankful for all of you who stayed with me on my cancer journey. I hope you take time to read all my cancer journey posts here on Linked in over the past year, may they bless you in different ways. You Matter! My stage 4 cancer is no greater or less than your hard situation you face today (Diagnosis, Separation, Divorce, Death, Illness, Loss, Troubling Circumstances). I leave you this very quite night alone in my hospital room with this prayer. Lord, thank you for using cancer to make me more thankful. With your help, I can see all the good things you have done for me and given to me, including all those who love and support me. If you feel led, I would be grateful for your donation https://gofund.me/da2518c6 You Matter #constructionequipment #equipmentrental #equipmentfinance #miningequipment #demolition #roadconstruction #sales #leadership #transportation #ceos #technology #drilling #blasting, #recycling #quarry #trenching #trenchlesstechnology #philanthropist #humanresources #insurance #smallbusinessowner
