✨ How did Okaluli come into existence?✨ 🎥 First, watch this video. It shows the current reality in Namibia and Africa. Imagine attending school in a state like that one. If they can't afford a proper classroom, how about textbooks? 💻 Don't even mention computers. It's a taboo to them. 🌍 The founders of Okaluli hail from the very same setups as seen in the video, but we cannot let that continue with the younger generation. That’s the humble beginning we come from. 💚 Mother Africa deserves the best she can get. Her offsprings must never be neglected or feel left out. 📲 Through an SMS, Okaluli ensures that those in need are not left out. 🚀 We have enjoyed the best of ChatGPT, CoPilot, and many other online tools. 📞 But how about the others on the "have not" side? The time has now come for those with basic phones aka tamagotchis / katoshes to enjoy the sweetness of what Okaluli has to offer. Our pilot testing phase so far is progressing well. However, we need more of your support. If you know a child in the villages, share the contact details with them. A short relatable typical African story of Kamatoye, a young boy: 📖 "Once upon a time in a village called Omalungula, there lived a young boy Kamatoye. He often struggled with his schoolwork because the school lacked textbooks, no computers at school and classes were overcrowded. 💻 He was always eager to use the internet like other kids in towns to do his schoolwork. 📱 But he couldn’t use the internet because his grandmother’s pension fund couldn’t afford a smartphone, given she was taking care of her 15 grandchildren alone. 💸 However, grandmother sacrificed N$120 for him and got him a "katoshe". 😔 Kamatoye was disappointed because a "katoshe" was only useful for light when catching frogs and shooting birds at night for meat. 📻 While listening to the radio, grandmother heard about Okaluli and its life-changing capabilities using SMS. It sounded like a mystery to access internet information on a "katoshe". 😃 Kamatoye was excited, and within five seconds after he sent his SMS, Okaluli replied. Time went by, and Okaluli became his best educator, helping him ace all his subjects at school and surprising his teachers at school. 🏆 The entire village then got to learn of Okaluli. After the end of the year, all school children passed number 1. " --- 📚 With Okaluli, we are bridging the wide digital gap that has been widely affecting school students in rural and underserved areas. We cannot continue to live with this narrative in Namibia and Africa at large. ✨ All it takes is a basic phone to access Okaluli. The time for Tamagotchis aka "Katoshe" to shine is "olwedi" now.
