November is National Entrepreneurship Month! Oculogica is proud to be a women-founded and led company. Our founder, Dr. Uzma Samadani and our CEO Dr. Rosina S. are both entrepreneurs who are improving the medical technology space and creating a safer world for everyone. Their journey as entrepreneurs has led to the creation of breakthrough technology that can track eyes to accurately assess brain functionality. We're honored to continue growing Oculogica, helping more clinicians and patients safely treat brain injuries and see better outcomes.

Congratulations and a big thank you to Golden Seeds on 20 important years supporting women founders! We loved being a part of the panel last night in NYC, and your portfolio.
Last night, we hosted our 20th anniversary celebration in New York City at the offices of ArentFox Schiff. We welcomed current and past Golden Seeds members, entrepreneurs, ecosystem partners and supporters to join us in reflecting on the past two decades of investing in women-led companies and to celebrate the progress we have made. In total, Golden Seeds has invested $185 million in over 250 companies. The program was kicked off by Golden Seeds co-CEOs Loretta McCarthy and Jo Ann Corkran, who discussed the history of Golden Seeds as well as the growth of women angels, entrepreneurs and women-led companies since 2004. Maggie McGrath, editor of ForbesWomen and anchor of ForbesTV, hosted a panel discussion that featured Alison J. Malloy, Co-Founder and Former CEO of Design2Launch Software, Rosina S., President and CEO of OCULOGICA, and Minna Song, Co-Founder and CEO of EliseAI. They shared insights on their incredible journeys as entrepreneurs and the impact Golden Seeds had on their success. Following the panel, Veronica Dagher, The Wall Street Journal Personal Finance Reporter, interviewed Marcia Dawood, Former Chair of the Angel Capital Association and current Golden Seeds member, who discussed her book "Doing Good While Doing Well" and her experiences helping entrepreneurs bridge the gap from early-stage ideas to building thriving, profitable companies. It was a gratifying evening full of comradery, celebration and reflection that brought together Golden Seeds supporters from all walks of life to commemorate our accomplishments to this point and to look forward to the future of angel investing and our continued work in striving toward gender parity in this exciting, ever-evolving industry. Thank you to Golden Seeds member Sarah A. W. Fitts and ArentFox Schiff for graciously hosting us, and to everyone whose dedication made this event such a success. #GoldenSeeds #AngelInvesting #Entrepreneurs #WomenLed

Have we mentioned how proud we are of our founder Dr. Uzma Samadani ? This week she’s talking about epidural spinal cord stimulation at the XX Congresso Nazionale SIMS in Milan.
Delighted to be in Milan to talk about epidural spinal cord stimulation for spinal cord injury at the XX Congresso Nazionale SIMS. Was an added bonus to visit with Drs Michelle Spinelli and Laura Lippa (who is now in charge of neurosurgical trauma for all of Italy!!) today at Ospedale Niguarda, as they work on programming for their first epidural stim spinal cord injured patient. #sci #injury #trauma #wins #italy

OCULOGICA reposted this
Getting back to daily activities is one of the best things kids can do as part of recovery from a concussion--including school and light exercise that doesn't risk another head injury. Experts like Christina Master, MD, FAAP, FACSM, FAMSSM, Toni Grishman, David Howell and Julie Wilson at Children's Hospital Colorado talk about new Colorado guidelines and best practices in my article for KFF Health News and US News & World Report https://lnkd.in/gTFdGVUk

In a recent episode of “New Heights”, Jason Kelce emphasized the need for more longterm concussion research and ways to mitigate symptoms. There’s a lot of good research being done right now that looks into the effects of concussion. Of course, even more research and information is necessary and we hope to learn more about the symptoms and effects of concussion as athletes continue to speak out about it. Improving how concussion is tested for and diagnosed is important as well. Testing earlier and having objective results is a critical step towards mitigating the symptoms. We appreciate Jason Kelce for advocating for better concussion protocols! Let’s make sports safer for everyone! 🧠
