“All we want for Christmas is an Obi device!!!🎄✨ We are trialing the @obirobot this week at Mary’s feeding intensive with @njpfa. Gotta few things to work on, like not biting the spoon…but I’m excited and optimistic about her possibilities with this device.” 🎉Way to go, Mary! ➡️ Interested in a Pediatric Trial? “Mealtimes now require extra creativity, time, and hands! Chuck can still swallow and eat but needs help feeding due to loss of mobility in his arms. Meet Obi Robot, one of our new best friends!” ✨🤖 Obi can restore self-feeding performance for those with upper extremity limitations, as seen in ALS, AMC, CP, MS SMA, SCI, and many other conditions. Obi also alleviates caregivers, making it possible for families to share mealtimes together once again. 🥰 Interested in trying Obi? "Vlad is back at it with Obi and is showing off his skills while his PT Tanya explains all the bells and whistles. 🤩 Here’s how it works: When Vlad selects the “choose” button, with his head to the right, Obi’s arm navigates to one of four bowls and scoops the fruit loops onto the spoon. Then, when the “delivery” button is pressed (also the right button), the arm brings the food to his mouth! 🥄 When he would like to switch to another bowl, he presses the “change bowl” button to his left. Setting up the Obi is simple with its intuitive “learn” button, allowing for precise positioning of the feeding arm in front of Vlad’s mouth encouraging him to stay in midline. Plus, it’s lightweight, compact, and battery-powered, making it perfect for use at home, or even taking it to school! 🏫 Give Vlad a round of applause for showing off his awesome skills! 😋" Such an awesome video from our friends at Ability Plus Therapy!
