Even in the hardest times, hospice can bring families together to create unforgettable moments. This touching story of Olivia Armao, a 62-year-old mom of four, reminds us of the profound impact hospice care can have. Despite her battle with breast cancer and being in hospice, Olivia shared a heartfelt dance with her 30-year-old son at his wedding. "I was just happy that I was there and I was able to dance with him," Olivia told Good Morning America. "It was really sweet... one I can't put into words." For families navigating this difficult time, even small gestures of care can mean so much. We encourage you to reach out to someone in your life who may be experiencing loss—let them know they are not alone, and that you care. We’re incredibly proud of our members, who provide compassionate, expert support to grieving families and individuals. Their dedication ensures that even in the hardest moments, no one has to face grief alone. This work is done with such dignity and empathy, reminding us all of the power of care and connection. As we move into a new year, let’s carry this spirit of care forward—supporting one another and lifting up those in need. 

We’re proud to highlight our UK member, St Helena, for their exciting new partnership to revitalize Colchester’s historic Holy Trinity Church. With a vision to restore this 11th Century landmark to its "former glory," St Helena will transform the space into a vibrant community hub, blending heritage with modern use. Mark Jarman-Howe, CEO of St Helena Hospice, shared, "We see tremendous opportunities for community engagement and volunteering through the wide range of activities we have planned for the building." This project highlights just one example of how our members are strengthening their ties within their communities.   Our member, Nathan Adelson Hospice, recently unveiled the Choosing Hospice platform to help Nevadans and families everywhere navigate the journey of hospice care. We're excited to amplify this invaluable resource across our network, ensuring more families have access to the guidance they need during their health journey.     Early and ongoing grief support can make a significant difference in long-term mental health outcomes for caregivers and families. That’s why it’s so important to choose a hospice provider with a comprehensive bereavement and support program. Choosing Hospice stresses the importance of asking providers about their grief support services. Do they offer care both before and after a loved one’s passing? Do they provide a place for every grieving person to turn to for compassion and understanding?
