The Darcy is getting in the holiday spirit with a custom tree designed by Instagram sensation and holiday decorator Light the Lights, with Jesse Cooper. Cooper and his team will transform The Darcy’s Park Hill holiday tree into a shiny delight with jeweled-toned ornaments by Kenzies Of London, pulling inspiration from the well-appointed guest rooms and public spaces throughout the hotel. Northwood Hospitality is committed to sustainable operations. Our hotels have earned Energy Star Certifications 32 times across the portfolio since 2012. We continue to focus across our properties to ensure we add more certified hotels every year. ENERGY STAR certified buildings save energy, save money, and help protect the environment by generating fewer greenhouse gas emissions than typical buildings. To be certified ENERGY STAR, a building must meet strict energy performance standards set by EPA. Specifically, to be eligible for ENERGY STAR certification, a building must earn an ENERGY STAR score of 75 or higher on EPA's 1-100 scale indicating that it performs better than at least 755 of similar building nationwide. Certification is given on an annual basis, so a building must maintain its high performance to be certified year after year. Every year we add more hotels to the certified list. ENERGY STAR is a program run by the US Environmental Protection Agency and the US Department of Energy that promotes energy efficiency. The program provides information on the energy consumption of products and devices using different standardized methods. The ENERGY STAR label is found on more than 75 different certified product categories, homes, commercial buildings, and industrial plants.
