Governor Hochul announced her first State of the State Proposal for 2025 - Inflation Rebate. New York State has collected more sales tax than expected due to higher prices and Governor Hochul is proposing an Inflation Rebate for the 2025 Budget. Under the proposal, individuals who make under $150,000 would receive a $300 check and families would receive $500. This will be included in the Governor's proposed budget in January. Please note this is a proposal and the budget process between the Governor and Legislature has yet to be negotiated.
