Reach out directly to verify but don't use the contact info in the communication. Look it up other ways. Use strong passwords. Use phrases such as "Sc0ttK@ylorR0cks!!!" Don't sticky note your password and always enable multi-factor authentication when available. Question everything. With AI, folks can now mimic everything - including voices of your loved ones. Confirm, confirm, confirm before you do anything. Legitimate organizations won't demand a wire or gift cards.
