NIGERIA FINTECH WEEK 2024 I joined industry captains, policy makers and practitioners at the Nigeria Fintech Week 2024. It was a great time listening to conversations and panel discussions on shaping the fintech eco-system in Nigeria and Africa at large of which I find particular interest. I look forward to the Fintech Week 2025.

Insights from NFW24 Our fireside chat brought together key stakeholders in AI and Fintech to discuss Africa’s tech in the Age of AI. Panellists stressed the importance of creating standardised models for credit checks and transaction security to boost financial safety. They also highlighted the need for local financial solutions that cater to the unique needs of communities, ensuring inclusive growth across the continent. Another key takeaway was the rapid evolution of generative AI, with discussions on how it is revolutionising creativity while raising concerns about labour shifts and job disruptions. The panel emphasised the necessity for new economic frameworks to address these changes and create sustainable opportunities.
