While it is currently sunny in Niagara County, weather issues in other parts of WNY have forced us to have to postpone the Niagara USA Chamber bourbon tasting scheduled for this evening. Yesterday was a great day! 𝗦𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗼 is done for 2024... But, mark your calendars, because we've already booked next years - November 12, 2025!!!! Creating a brand new event from scratch is a risk, an uphill climb, and an awful lot of work. Interestingly enough, 𝗦𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗼 wasn't even just a new event for the Niagara USA Chamber. It wasn't like we saw other organizations doing something like this and thought it would fit nicely in our repertoire. No, nothing like 𝗦𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗼 has been done in Western New York in a LONG time. So, we owe a debt of gratitude to our sponsors, who made the event possible... Especially M&T Bank, and our board member, Lucy Muto, who not only secured M&T's support, but recruited a few dozen small businesses to attend. Earlier this year, we went to Lucy with a concept for a major #smallbusiness event, incorporating education, inspiration and networking, with a trade show component. Lucy was our biggest champion and, in truth, without M&T's buy-in and support, pulling off such a successful event yesterday would have been difficult.
