Yesterday for World Mental Health Day, NextUp Northwest Arkansas hosted “Paws for Mental Health” and partnered with Best Friends Animal Society and to help people spend an afternoon cuddling up with some adorable animals! The event team Jessi White Tonnie Lyon Ashley Diamond did an amazing job putting together the event and added so many fun elements such as raffle prizes to pet friendly restaurants and hotel, treat giveaways from Three Dogs Bakery and much more! Over ten animals were adopted yesterday and we couldn’t be more happier to have found these awesome animals a forever loving home! If you want to volunteer, you can take a dog out for a walk or spend time throwing ball with them. They have beautiful trails behind the shelter and we have a ton of awesome dog friendly restaurants locally to choose from as well!
