  • Things are looking good for clean power. American Clean Power Association (ACP) released its 2024 Q3 report, showing record numbers for clean power deployment in the U.S. At this pace, we are on track to see the most installations in a single year. Q3 findings include: ▪️ Utility-scale installs saw a 78% YoY increase, with 10 GWs deployed ▪️Q3 saw more clean power deployed in the U.S. than ever before ▪️With 294 GWs of capacity, the U.S. can now power 72M homes ▪️New clean power installers include Louisiana, Arkansas & Mississippi ▪️Energy storage pipeline grew to 5.8 GWs, accounting for 80% of net growth With no signs of slowing, we are excited to see the continued growth of clean energy installations in the U.S., and we are ready to do all we can to help support our partners in advancing the clean energy transition. • Good news for solar. “Some of the largest industrial and data operations in the world continue turning to solar and storage as a reliable, low-cost way to power their operations.” - SEIA president and CEO Abigail Ross Hopper. 📄 SEIA’s 2024 #SolarMeansBiz report is out and it shows that U.S. businesses have now installed nearly 40 gigawatts (GWs) of onsite and off-site solar capacity. That includes, small businesses, technology brands, manufacturers, and big box retailers. Report ranking highlights include: Meta has the most #solar installed with 5.2 GWs Google has the most #storage capacity with 936 MWhs Amazon has a nation-leading 13.6 GWs of new solar procurements under contract Most companies surveyed in the report listed the Inflation Reduction Act’s clean energy incentives as a big reason for going solar, sending a clear message: American businesses are focused on driving down electricity costs and solar is a favored solution time and time again. As data centers and industrial operations grow, so will our nation’s power demand and it is vital that we meet this demand with reliable, homegrown solar energy. • Investing in the future of energy starts here. As we begin construction on Eastern Utah’s Green River Energy Center’s 800 MW solar + storage system, the largest planned solar plus storage facility in the state, we are also taking steps to fortify a smarter energy future for the local communities. In keeping with our long history of education-focused efforts, we are teaming up with rPlus Energies and all our incredible site partners on two new scholarship fund programs, offering a total of $375,000 for students in Utah’s Emery County and Carbon County areas: 🎓 The Local First Scholarship is designated for students who plan to remain in the area after completing a degree or certificate from Utah State University Eastern (USUE) 🎓 The Energy First Scholarship is tailored for students in energy-related fields, such as Welding, Wildlife Ecology, Electrician Certification, and Heavy Machinery Operations. 🎓 Both scholarships will grant up to $5K for qualifying students – who must be be admitted to USUE – and students may reapply each year. We are excited to continue our mission of inspiring the young minds of today through our hard work and real-world results and set them on a path to career success. In turn, we believe this will strengthen the local workforce and support the long-term economic vitality of the region. A huge mention goes out to all our partners on this endeavor, including: The Kem and Carolyn Gardner Mental Health Crisis Care Center at the Huntsman Mental Health Institute at the University of Utah , Sundt Construction, EliTe Solar, Groupe Crédit Agricole, BHI Energy, BODEC, Inc., CIBC and Truist. 👉 Learn more about Nextracker’s commitment to a brighter future by visiting our website today: https://bit.ly/3OfKfDK #SolarTracking #CommercialSolar #RenewableEnergy #CleanTech #SolarEducation Kristan Kirsh Traci Look Mansi Sehgal Sarah Miriam Albert Yves Figuerola
