We were honored to be recognized as a Good Done Right Award recipient at The Wendy's Company for our sustainability efforts this year. Through our Tree for Every Top program we source our hardwood regionally and responsibly from the Appalachian region while planting a new sapling for each tabletop we sell. Our extensive work with Wendy’s allowed us to plant even more trees this year. Bringing the total trees planted to nearly 90,000. Today is a BIG day...the manuscript of my next book, Five Obsessions of Elite Organizations is done and off to the publisher for copy-editing. Every one of the 63,490 words is a summation of some of the most important things I have learned following a 20-year journey as the owner of a hardwood manufacturing business with customers and offices on six continents followed by a now 10-year journey as a Business Guide and founder of Next Level Growth. Much like Gino Wickman did in writing #Traction, this book will give away the foundational components of the Next Level Growth approach to "Helping Entrepreneurial Leaders Build Elite Organizations®." We want to reach as many people as possible and share our belief that a "Principled Approach" is a better solution for most entrepreneurs than a "Prescriptive System." This book is filled with specific "how to" instructions, examples and downloadable forms to provide organizations who want to try the DIY approach the ability to do so. In our annual offsite with Next Level Growth, Michael Erath introduced our leadership team at Rocky Mountain to the concept of building out “Rules of Engagement”. Each rule is designed with the intention of helping members of the LT communicate and operate more effectively with one another. Now that we have the rules established and visible in each of our offices, I wanted to share a few of the rules that I have found to be most impactful for myself. -Assume Positive Intent -Make Requests, not demands. -If your issue is time sensitive/urgent do not text, email, or message on teams.
