Long emotional linked in caption? 100% justified. BUT you won't get one, what I'll tell you is that we've been working on getting this event locked in since February. Think about that ... a years work 🤯 The video says it all, about who we are. The ambition: to give Newcastle a second club, & to make pro football affordable for everyone to go and watch, it starts here. December the 6th, Friday night, under the lights. The privilege we're feeling about playing in a stadium, that such an iconic part of Newcastles culture, the words wouldn't fit in a LinkedIn caption. We used to say "imagine playing football at Kingston park". Now, we're living it. One record about to be broken: The biggest venue a game has ever been played in, at this level. The Goal: Match that, and break the attendance record. Let's go. TICKET LINK: https://lnkd.in/eqfWSSBv

Welcome Back 🎬 🎱Weeks 🎱Wins 4️⃣th in the league 4️⃣Wins on the bounce ✅still in every cup competition Mini Highlights below from our 3-1 Win away Cramlington United FC. Cramlington are a The Football Association favourite, crowned "club of the year" on countless occasions, denoting their community work & successful junior set up. Something we aspire to. It's staggering that we manage to compete with clubs like this, never mind; beat them on the pitch. After just 6 years in the pyramid for us, going up against a 25 year + establishment like this is no small task. Going against a set up with 100's of juniors, a wealth of community funding, lottery backing, an incredible selection of coaches & backroom staff, owned facilities, and of course - great players. 📝 Another Week, another performance to be proud of. Big Week Pending.

1 aim: to give Newcastle another Club; The People's Club. One year ago we celebrated our biggest achievement so far; winners of the Northumberland Football Association Benevolent Bowl. This is the FA Cup of our step in the pyramid, we were total underdogs: playing against a team of ex-professionals and 40+ years of history. After winning the The Football Association Minor cup the year before, it feels like the club DNA is full of magic for the big occasions! There's something unique in our club; a family feeling and an ambition that is definitively intangible, which has gotten us to where we are today. "Started from the bottom" is literally true in our case. We started at the base of the Football Pyramid. No council funding, no grants, just hard work on the pitch and building a community off of it to gain enough sponsor to break even. Our Chairman Simon Michael Mooney, is just 34. The club is 7 years old, and in those 7 seasons we have made it to the Northern Alliance premier league. In our time we have gone past clubs with 100-year histories, clubs with huge reputations and serious infrastructure, all because of our energy and determination. We've done it “The Independent Way”. Our ambition to keep climbing is seriously cooking, we have an announcement to make in due course that is going to shake up the non-league scene. Facilities that will give us a chance to climb through the leagues, with no ceiling. Every city in world football has 2 professional clubs, why not Newcastle? We will always be NUFC fans, but we all know there's room for another match day experience, The Peoples Club. There's room for a community focused club which doubles down on nurturing local football talent, that wants to produce women's football, disabled football, giving access to sport to those with fewer opportunities. A club that showcases all of our city's culture, all of the independent businesses & entrepreneurs that we aspire to be like. Restaurateurs, developers, artists, creatives, people that pour love into the city, and make it this beautiful place to live, and be proud to come from. Next season, we will be producing a behind the scenes documentary of what it's like to play at our level. Covering what it's like to get the funding off the pitch to make the clubs sustainable and how much energy it takes to run a club. With the highs, lows, and, hopefully, a lot of wins. Come on the journey with us, join the independent family, become the people behind the peoples club! We want to work with business that match our energy, and we want to showcase your journey alongside ours. At this point I want to thank all of our previous sponsors & people that have helped us sustain and grow to where we are now. Those that have helped the independent be, just that. Whether you've given to a raffle, turned up to games, you're one of us. Stay tuned, it's going to be a BIG summer!
