Exciting News for NY Distillers & Spirits Lovers! 🍸🥳 The Direct-to-Consumer Bill was officially signed into law by Governor Hochul on August 19th, 2024! Starting November 16th, 2024, our distillers will be able to ship their spirits right to the doors of the consumers who want them 📦 ✨. This is fantastic news for distillers, consumers, the farmers who produce our most important ingredients, and our hospitality and tourism colleagues. The New York State Distillers Guild is pleased to thank and applaud Governor Hochul (@GovKathyHochul), who has signed this historic bill that will allow its members to ship products to adult consumers (A3132-Lupardo/S2852-Skoufis). Under the new law, New York State distillers will be authorized to ship direct to consumers (DTC) within the state, as well as to states where DTC shipping is authorized. The new law extends a privilege that New York wineries have had for nearly 20 years, which has allowed them to successfully reach consumers and thrive. Cheers to this new chapter in New York’s spirits journey!🥂 #NewYorkSpirits #DirecttoConsumer #NYDistilled #newyorkgovernor
