Under the guidance of the Workforce Development Director, the DEI Committee and Dr. Odiraa Nwankwor, students from the Wilmington, DE area received a behind-the-scenes tour of the hospital and interactive simulation stations. Congratulations to Laura Chilcutt, MD, for receiving the Hispanic Community Champion Award as part of the 27th Don Quijote Awards from the Hispanic Chamber of Metro Orlando. She was recognized for her incredible work in providing healthcare access to underserved Hispanic communities, including launching a pediatric mobile clinic and leading the hospital’s Family Resource Center.

Dark design refers to manipulative tactics in apps, games and websites that exploit behavior often targeting children through deceptive practices. These designs are crafted to maximize engagement, but at what cost? The consequences can include mental health challenges, issues with addiction, privacy risks and exploitation.
