National Tank Truck Carriers represents the tank truck industry before Congress and numerous federal regulatory agencies, including DOT, EPA, DHS, and their many administrative divisions such as PHMSA, FMCSA, and TSA. Our involvement extends to address numerous state and local issues that impact tank truck sector through our affiliate relationships with the American Trucking Associations federation of specialized conferences and state trucking associations. National Tank Truck Carriers has represented the interests of the tank truck industry since its founding in 1945 in Washington, D.C. Then, as now, safety is the key element of the organization's mission, as we are one of the safest segments of the trucking industry. NTTC's mission is "To Champion Safety and Education through Advocacy in the Tank Truck Community". We are committed to providing the economy with sustainable transportation upon which it can rely and to enhance the viability of our members who provide that safe and consistent transportation.
