In response to an op-ed written by former HHS Secretary Tom Price where he called for an immigration fix to address the health care workforce crisis, NHA leader Kathy Hunter shared her view that we should instead invest in growing the number of health care educators. With demand for health care workers, such as nursing assistants and medical assistants, expected to exceed 10 million by 2026, we desperately need more qualified instructors to train the next generation of our health care workforce.
