The Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H) just announced funding for development of whole eye transplantation From our scientific director, Kapil Bharti: “This project’s goal—transplanting a functional human eye—is bold. Achieving it would be nothing short of remarkable and life-changing for people with major vision loss. We stand to gain tremendous knowledge in its pursuit with bearing on a variety of health conditions beyond vision disorders.
