# Expanding Our Vision in Mayuge 🌱   This week, our team and I had the incredible opportunity to visit Mayuge District 🌍, where we are preparing to establish Replication No. 5 for our growing initiatives. Surrounded by the serene beauty of the land 🌿, we engaged in dynamic brainstorming 💡 and strategic planning sessions to map out the future of this project.   Each new piece of land represents an opportunity for growth 📈 and a step forward in building sustainable solutions that empower communities 🤝 and create a long-term impact. At Musana, we’re committed to equipping students with not only academic knowledge but also practical, life-changing skills such as plumbing, construction, tailoring, and more. These skills open doors to opportunities. We are proud to prepare young men and women who are ready to be self-sufficient and contribute meaningfully to their communities. Generosity is an important value at Etch. Great to have our Wildman Find charity Musana UK visit us today from Uganda. They do incredible work in rural communities breaking the cycle of dependency and poverty by all their projects being fully sustainable. In their words: Charity vs Development 👉Charity does for others vs Development enables others to do it themselves. 👉Charity treats the symptom vs Developmemt addresses the root cause. 👉Charity gives a fish vs Development teaches one to fish.

Initially, this fundraising method covered 75% of our monthly expenses. However, as Musana grew, we realized child sponsorship had unintended negative repercussions. Despite our good intentions, we were creating a system that could harm the very children we were trying to help.
