The Morrisville Chamber of Commerce has announced that Christie Moser has been selected as its next president, effective immediately. Moser will replace Rose Cornelious, who is retiring at the end of December, after having served as president of the Chamber since October 2022. Moser will leverage her extensive experience working with and advocating for the business community, leading Chamber programs, and partnering with other key stakeholders, including other chambers, Town leadership, and elected officials to guide the Morrisville Chamber to new heights.

The three new food waste carts in Town provide our residents solutions for keeping food waste out of landfills and help create compost for our very own gardens. The Town of Morrisville is issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) to solicit qualified vendors to assist the Town in valuing, marketing, soliciting, and negotiating naming rights and sponsorship agreements for key community assets, including the Morrisville Town Center, the Morrisville Dog Park (Franklin Upchurch Sr. Street), and the Church Street Park cricket facility. This Request for Proposals (RFP) seeks to identify a potential consultant for the abovementioned services. All interested and qualified consultants are invited to submit proposals by Friday, Dec. 20, 2024. During the Town Council meeting on December 10, we recognized Morrisville Chamber of Commerce President Dr. Rose Cornelious as she heads into retirement. Corporate basketball leagues are returning this March! 🏀 Gather your colleagues and hit the court—businesses and corporations in the Triangle area are invited to form teams and compete in Morrisville’s corporate basketball league. Leagues will be offered on Monday and Thursday nights, with standings tracked throughout the season to set the stage for an exciting postseason tournament where a league champion will be crowned. Participants must be 18 or older, and all players on a team must be current employees of the same business or corporation. Morrisville Mayor Pro Tem Satish Garimella has been appointed to North Carolina Governor-Elect Josh Stein's transition team, tasked with recommending the Secretary of the Department of Information Technology, the Chief Technology Officer, and the Chief Deputy Secretary. Stein is continuing to staff his transition team, bringing on an array of government officials and business leaders from past and present as he prepares to take office.
