To meet a commercial electric vehicle's (EV) performance, range, and longevity requirements, the (EV) battery packs must maintain an optimal temperature range of 20° —45° C. A battery management system and battery thermal management system play key roles in ensuring the battery packs maintain the optimal temperature range. These two systems have different roles in meeting the battery pack's temperature range requirements and work together to achieve this.
