In our latest Lunch Hour Legal Marketing, Conrad mentioned that he chatted with Darren on whether to use brand names in title tags: https://lnkd.in/dAXPZ86c Here's Darren on the subject: "4️⃣ Doesn’t contain your brand name: Unless you have a recognizable brand, I wouldn’t recommend including your name in the title tag. Google loves to rewrite title tags. So, if you put your brand at the end of your title tag, Google will often move it to the front, and your important key phrases won’t be visible in search. Instead, mention your brand in the meta description." Sound advice. I'd work on fixing the first part, have a recognizable brand. But even if you don't, you should probably include your brand on key pages: - Home - About - Contact Think about the intents of people searching on your brand. Optimize pages with them in mind. 🤜 🤛

Here’s how to craft the perfect title tag for local SEO👇 A great local business title tag: 1️⃣ Contains valuable keywords: Type the primary category of your GBP into a keyword research tool to find the most frequently searched terms related to your category. 2️⃣ Sounds catchy and compelling While everyone else is keyword-dumping in their title tags, you can stand out and get more clicks by including words that inspire trust, such as “professional”, “same-day”, “expert”, “trusted”, etc. And make sure your new title tag fits under 60 to 70 characters. 3️⃣ Mentions the location(s) you work in: Be specific. Start with your primary city and state in the visible part of the title tag, and then add any surrounding areas/neighborhoods you'd like to cover at the end of the tile that gets hidden behind the … 4️⃣ Doesn’t contain your brand name: Unless you have a recognizable brand, I wouldn’t recommend including your name in the title tag. Normalize not acting like you know everything. One of the best sessions at Conrad Saam’s Bedlam event was this panel. Simple premise: “What are you working on?” It was so valuable not because of the notes I took (though I trapped 2 ideas that I think are worth six-plus figures each), but because it’s so important to see that successful lawyers *still* have problems to solve. Unsuccessful lawyers reek of fake it til they make it and false bravado. Successful lawyers admit they don’t know it all.
