Our last Code and Coffee for the year was this past Saturday. We had another full house. Derrick Williams Jr. and Allan Wick presented their work on using AI to a number of the attendees. It was a great discussion. If you are interested on presenting a topic at one of our upcoming events, let us know. We would love to have more of these discussions. #devlife #mkedevs #codeandcoffee #mitobyte

Just finish my first hackathon on Saturday, and what an incredible experience it was! 🎉 A huge shout out to my amazing teammates Federico Zappaterra and Jose Danil Romero, for their collaboration and creativity throughout the event. We had a blast tackling challenges and learning from each other, and I'm thrilled to share that our team won the Best in Teamwork award! 🏆 This recognition reflects not just our hard work but also the fantastic synergy we built together. A huge thank you to Mitobyte for hosting such a great event. Hackathons are a fantastic way to push boundaries, innovate, and grow both personally and professionally. I can’t wait for the next one! #Hackathon #Teamwork #Innovation #Learning

Saturday I did my first hackathon ever and -as you can judge from my big smile- it was a lot of fun. Benjamin Anderson and Jose Danil Romero have been great partners. We even scored the Best Teamwork prize. I want to take this chance to invite all my Milwaukee friends to follow Mitobyte. Great people organizing great events. Speaking of which, this Saturday there is a Code and Brew event. If you want to spend some time sharing ideas and collaborating on fun projects, that's the place for you!
Our very first hackathon (Hackreation) was a massive success! We had over 10 teams competing for our coveted certificates 🏆 (created & designed by Sheng Slogar). We will certainly look to build off the momentum from this weekend and will be having more events like this in the near future! Certificate winners are as follows: (p.s. we had trouble finding some folks on LinkedIn so if you see your team mate please tag them and we can edit the post and add them in) Final Winner for Design Fraculation / Dan Miller Final Winner for Innovation Zic 4 The Win / Kevin Ness, Christopher Bohl Final Winner for Teamwork Team Pachinko / Ben, Federico Zappaterra, Jose Danil Romero Final Winner for People's Choice The Secret Button Team / Alexa Miller, Matt Rohr, Chris Hemmerly This event would have been impossible without the volunteers we had. A massive thanks to Sheng Slogar, Aken Roberts, Andrew Glassman, Joshua Doro, Joseph Lopez, Miguel Sotelo, PhD, Cesar Sotelo. Blanca Gonzales thank you so much for lending the i.c.stars |* Milwaukee space for the presentations. It made it feel extra special and an overall better experience during presentations. Huge shoutout to our partners in Latinos in Tech and Milky Way Tech Hub (Carlos Vasquez, Benjamin Juarez, and Nadiyah Johnson). J. Dietenberger and Kevin Ziegler thanks for coming to hangout and help during the event! Mario J. Cortez it was awesome having you stop by to checkout the process, we're happy to have your support! Our sponsors were crucial in making sure we not only had a space but also food to keep hacking away all day so a giant thanks to all of them: Experis, nvisia, PKWARE, American Family Insurance, i.c.stars |* Milwaukee.
