Raining White and his team at the Leech Lake Division of Resource Management are working hard to develop a process communities can adopt to help protect manoomin (wild rice) from invasive species. They do this by monitoring the relationships between different aquatic plant species. "“When you’re on the water around here, you see all sorts of interactions of life, and it gives you a greater appreciation for everything. You start to realize all that’s possible because there is water.” Learn more about this important work to protect one of our most beloved natural resources at the We Are Water MN exhibit, on display at the Leech Lake Tribal College library now through Oct. 6: https://lnkd.in/gGwfMeKS
