By implementing a modern, integrated solution, they achieved a 21% increase in productivity and a 30% boost in revenue. 💰✨ This digital transformation succeeded because it addressed their specific needs and was embraced enthusiastically by the entire team. 🤖 Last year, I encountered a different scenario with a tech company. Despite having cutting-edge tools and brilliant engineers, they were surprisingly inefficient. The issue? They didn’t need a digital transformation—they needed a cultural transformation. OpenAI's journey has become a high-stakes tech thriller, with plot twists rivaling any binge-worthy series. As the events continue to unfold, the main question is: Will all this drama derail OpenAI's groundbreaking innovations? Here are the highlights of the OpenAI storyline (so far):  1. Last November, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman was abruptly ousted by the board, only to be reinstated days later following intense backlash from investors, employees, and industry leaders. The board that initiated the firing was subsequently dismantled. 2.  OpenAI is now amid a funding round raising $5 billion and boosting its valuation to $150 billion. They are also transitioning to a for-profit status. 3. Several key executives, including Sutskever,  John Schulman, and Andrej Karpathy - all cofounders - left. Greg Brockman (another cofounder, former board member, and OpenAI president) is on sabbatical, and yesterday  Mira Murati, OpenAI CTO, resigned. Are these events interconnected, or is it mere coincidence? Some speculate that the board conflict and some of these departures stem from concerns about OpenAI's shift away from its original non-profit, "AI for the good of humanity" mission. However, without insider information, it's challenging to draw definitive conclusions. Whatever the reasons for the changes, OpenAI's contributions to AI have been groundbreaking, and it is vital that the company continues to innovate and lead. "You shouldn't be thinking about your position – you're going to be a mother!" These words from my manager, Bear (not his true name), hit me like a ton of bricks. I was pregnant, ambitious, and planning my career. I didn't want to give up all the progress I had made because I was going on maternity leave. Little did I know, this was just the beginning of my journey navigating the unique challenges women face in leadership. I recently shared this story and more on the MOSAIC Moment podcast of the Progressive Policy Institute with host Sarah Paden. We dove deep into my book "The TRIUMPH Framework," leadership challenges, and driving organizational change. One of the topics that came up was the hurdles women leaders face. Here's a taste of what I shared: At a different opportunity, Bear critiqued my "high-pitched, fast, and emotional" communication style. According to him, leaders need to use "deep, measured, and even” tones. I tried to conform, but it felt like wearing someone else's shoes. When I confided in Eli Bennatan, Bear's manager, he dismissed Bear's words: "Don't worry about it. You can't change it anyway. Just keep doing what you're doing. You are a strong leader." This experience taught me two crucial lessons for women in leadership: 1️⃣ Bias exists, both blatant and subtle. Be prepared, but don't let it define you. 2️⃣ Find your champions. Build a network of mentors and sponsors who see your true potential. Remember, your uniqueness is your strength. Don't dim your light to fit someone else's expectations.
