Randy Shelton, Talent Aquisition Manager at Peterson CAT, recently spoke to Silicon Valley Career Technical Education (SVCTE) center's Clean Diesel Technology students. Randy shared insights into careers with CAT, including the ThinkBig program, a paid apprenticeship for entry-level technicians. 🚗✨Nearly 90 students from the Silicon Valley Career Technical Education (SVCTE) center’s Electrical Vehicles/Automotive Services and Auto Body Refinishing programs got an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the automotive industry at Del Grande Automotive Group. DGDG’s team shared inspiring career stories, while students explored Chevrolet, GMC, and Volkswagen dealerships to learn about exciting opportunities in the field. One standout moment was hearing from Edgar, a technician at the VW dealership, who was once a student in Nathan Chukes' Auto Body Refinishing class back in 2005-2006.
