About us
Mental Health First Aid® Maryland is a public education national certification course designed to teach individuals, professionals, businesses, and community members the skills necessary to respond with care and genuine support to an individual experiencing a mental health or substance use concern or crisis. Mental health problems are common and, with the right help, wellness and recovery are possible. Since its inception, over 45,000 Mental Health First Aiders have been trained—creating more caring, safe, and supportive communities throughout Maryland. We could not accomplish this task without our incredible team of MHFA Instructors. Together, they train thousands of First Aiders every year in communities across the state. We couldn't be more proud of our might Maryland team! In the spring of 2021, we created an intentional instructor space on Linked In and Instagram (@mhfamaryland) to celebrate the accomplishments of our instructors, share partnerships, provide updates, and generate networking opportunities. Welcome! We look forward to connecting as we work together to make MHFA just as common as CPR. Mental Health First Aid Maryland is a program of the Mental Health Association of Maryland (MHAMD.org)

Are you a Maryland employer? Have you figured out how to make naloxone part of your safety program? Learn from your peers and other experts at this (free!) interactive workshop on naloxone in the workplace November 14 in Baltimore. Those in the construction, manufacturing and transportation/warehousing sector may be most interested, as the risk of opioid overdose is highest in these sectors. https://lnkd.in/eQ5GQZP5
