Founder/Creative Director Melissa Joy Manning INC

In honor of Earth Week, LVMH and the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) partnered on a video series of highly-curated conversations designed to highlight today’s leading voices on topics of sustainability relevant to fashion and luxury. Titled “VOICES OF IMPACT,” the co-created series aims to inspire positive action by shining a spotlight on creative ingenuity from multi-dimensional vantage points.   I was honored to participate in Episode 1, entitled “Powering a Just Transformation”, which dived into pathways to a sustainable future while unpacking the “how” of the industry’s journey to net zero, and the strategic imperative of multi-stakeholder collaboration for designers and brands to successfully decarbonize the sector and achieve a just transformation. When working together, we all can make strides in designing interventions to climate change that advocate for and empower communities.   It was a pleasure to share the spotlight with Annika Dubrall, Sarah Luisi, Tracy Reese, and Alan Mak.
