Massman-Clarkson, a Joint Venture is proud to have led the reconstruction of MoDOT's John J. "Buck" O'Neil/U.S. Highway 169 Bridge and related corridor improvements. This important artery connects downtown Kansas City and the Northland communities, safely serving both sides of the Missouri River for many years to come. A ribbon-cutting ceremony for the public will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 30, at the intersection of 5th and Broadway in Kansas City. The Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) contracted Massman Construction to serve as the Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) for a project replacing ten floodgates at Wirtz Dam in central Texas. These Stantec-designed Tainter gates are being fabricated by AISC-certified King Fabrication and Thompson Metal Fab, Inc. (TMF), with each gate weighing about 120,000 pounds. 🚧 Strengthening Flood Protection at Wirtz Dam! 🚧 LCRA is taking crucial steps to ensure the reliability of Wirtz Dam with a $76M floodgate replacement project. Led by Massman Construction Co., the project involves replacing 10 floodgates and updating critical infrastructure, all while keeping the dam operational in Texas’ Flash Flood Alley. This effort will help protect surrounding communities from flooding while maintaining water supply, power generation, and safety.
