Last week at Marvell’s Industry Analyst Day, we had the privilege of showcasing not one, but two groundbreaking innovations: the Structera A 2504 and the Structera X 2404! Structera A 2504 Marvell Technology #CXL Near Memory Compute Accelerator is designed for the most demanding workloads, featuring 16 Arm Neoverse V2 cores and delivering 200GB/s memory bandwidth. Whether you're working with vector databases, graph analytics, or AI/ML applications, the Structera A 2504 is built to accelerate #memory-intensive workloads. Structera X 2404 Marvell Technology also demonstrated the Structera X 2404, a #CXL #Memory-#Expansion controller optimized specifically for the cloud. It supports DDR4 with 3DPC for 50% more capacity and #LZ4 #compression technology, allowing cloud operators to efficiently scale their systems while reducing both costs and carbon footprint by recycling DDR4 memory. #Marvell #CXL #Structera #ArmNeoverse #DataAcceleration #MemoryExpansion #CloudComputing #TechInnovation #Sustainability #AI #MachineLearning

The hyperscaler data center market is booming, and Marvell is at the heart of it. Growth is occurring at an astonishing pace— more than $100 billion of incremental cloud capex this year alone. This rapid expansion highlights the incredible opportunities in delivering cutting-edge, optimized silicon solutions for AI and accelerated infrastructure. As Marvell COO Chris Koopmans explains in this video, Marvell is uniquely positioned to lead in this space. By focusing on custom AI accelerators (XPUs), CPUs, DPUs, NICs, optical and copper interconnects and Ethernet switching, Marvell empowers hyperscalers to deliver custom accelerated infrastructure that scales performance while lowering total cost of ownership (TCO). At Marvell, it's about more than just keeping up with the market—it's about redefining what's possible. Marvell Technology deftly leveraged its annual Marvell Industry Analyst Day to debut and update its custom high bandwidth memory (HBM) compute architecture proposition. Marvell’s new HBM compute architecture technology is available to all of its custom silicon customers to improve the performance, efficiency, and TCO of their custom XPUs. Marvell is collaborating with its cloud customers and HBM manufacturers, Micron Technology, Samsung Electronics, and SK hynix to define and develop custom HBM solutions for next-generation XPUs. The Marvell custom HBM compute architecture introduces tailored interfaces for XPU designs, optimizing performance, power, die size, and cost. This approach considers the compute silicon, HBM stacks, and packaging, moving beyond the limitations of current standard interface-based architectures. By enabling these advantages, Marvell HBM customization solutions can play a crucial role in driving XPU innovation, particularly for AI and high-performance computing applications that require extreme memory bandwidth and efficiency. Marvell’s adoption of a comprehensive strategy for tailored chip design, which scrutinizes each component for possible enhancements, will be crucial in making AI both environmentally sustainable and cost-effective in the long run. Marvell Technology announced a 1.6 Tbps #coherent-lite DSP for under 20km spans that is available for sampling. It is 4 carriers of 400 Gbps in O-band. #Marvell2024IADay presentation from Achyut Shah stated customers are asking for longer distances "with PAM-like power, latency, cost." Target application seems to be in campus networks (building to building), where an LR optic would typically be used. https://lnkd.in/gnUxYQAj
