Spam filters will get triggered by any HTML in your email. Nikita Bykadarov of Maildoso says that includes tracking codes. I know you love your open rates. I know you love seeing who clicked what. But cold emails perform best when sent as plain text. Cutting HTML and tracking code is the best way to ensure emails show up in an inbox… And not a spam folder.

The average email open rate hovers around 17.8%. That number translates to over 80% of your emails never getting read by your prospects. 📉 The most likely culprit? Terrible subject lines. Put yourself in a prospect’s shoes: Imagine checking your inbox and finding emails with subject lines like, “YOU WON’T BELIEVE WHAT WE’VE GOT IN STORE FOR YOU!!!!!” To point it out, there are several issues with subject lines like these: ❌ No personalization ❌ Vague ❌ Too many punctuations In short, it’s clickbait. Thankfully, we’ve gathered data and hacks for creating compelling subject lines to break past the 17.8% open rate. Check them out below. 👇

The way you’re wording your cold emails is getting you ignored. Generic, overused, fluffy openings are everywhere these days… Which means prospects who see them automatically send you to spam. Stop with the generic openers, like: “Hope all is well!” “Did you receive my previous email?” That last one’s particularly bad. Of course they received it, and it was generic too. If you want to increase open and response rates, try some of these: 1️⃣ Hope all is well -> What are you currently working on? 2️⃣ Just touching base -> Have some updates you’re going to want to hear 3️⃣ Checking in/Did you receive my previous email -> I’ve got something I think you’re really going to like 4️⃣ Looking forward to hearing from you -> When is a good time to discuss this? What bad email copy have you seen lately?

More than 85% of B2B sales involve multiple buyers, a recent study showed And not just multiple buyers - a LOT of buyers. Often 10+ decision-makers are involved in each purchase. That’s (at least) 10 different people you have to convince. So..... What’s the biggest challenge for you when handling multiple buyers?

Here it is: 👉 Set up your DNS records 👉 Use human sending patterns 👉 Set up custom domain tracking 👉 Keep volume under 75 emails/day per rep 👉 Remove links & images from your signature 👉 Use email warmup to improve your reputation 👉 If you do automation, use Spintax for variation 👉 Remove spammy words/formatting from your copy 👉 Use an email validation tool to reduce bounce rates 👉 Check if you're on blacklists & work on getting off of them 👉 Consider creating a separate domain for sending cold emails 👉 Consider creating several emails per rep to increase email vol 👉 Remove images and videos from the first email in your sequence 👉 Remove links, images & videos from the first email in your sequence Anything else?
