About us
Magnolia Fund HTX makes it possible for people to invest in and own the wealth generating assets in their community. In the East End, we’re building the first community-owned commercial kitchen and food-maker campus. A truly unprecedented commercial space, the property will be home to a shared commercial kitchen, pop-up restaurant space, co-working, and public spaces that support food makers of all sizes from caterers to bakers to established restaurants.

Who’s in the kitchen? More importantly who’s leading our commercial kitchen to ensure we meet the needs of our food-maker community? Magnolia Fund HTX is excited to welcome Victoria E. and Robert Lopez to our kitchen leadership team and Fund Advisory Board. Victoria Elizondo is chef and owner of Cochinita & Co. From food-truck to pop-up to catering, and now running a certified food manufacturing business, Victoria has seen it all. She’s not only an award winning chef (James Beard Award nominated) but also a published author of “Taco-tastic” cookbook. Robert Lopez, formerly of Kickin' Kombucha and now full time at Cochinita & Co started his wildly popular fermented tea company that eventually found its way on store shelves at Whole Foods, Central Market/HEB and Randalls to name a few. His experience is now utilized to run the packaged goods line helping Cochinita & Co create “grocery ready” goods for distribution.

How do you build a fund? Ask for help from those who are ahead of you. It’s a lesson learned in business and it’s the reason we’re proud to welcome Veronica Juarez to our Fund Advisory Board. A 2nd Ward native and a Latina passionate about her community, we’re excited to build this fund with her guidance.
