Check out the highlights from our recent apprenticeship celebration with Governor Moore, where we recognized stellar work and launched a brand new Apprenticeship Pledge. We’re committed to bringing on 500 employers, 5,000 apprentices and 5 new agencies between now and November 2025 because we know this model of training and education works and we want to help deliver solutions to our businesses and workers. • At MAC, one of our key goals is to raise awareness about apprenticeships—and make it clear they’re not internships. Apprenticeships are a career pathway, a powerful way for employers to build a skilled, dedicated workforce. We recently heard from a college student who wished she had known about these opportunities earlier. Employers, this is your chance to make a lasting impact. By offering apprenticeships, you’re not just training future employees; you’re shaping confident, well-prepared professionals ready to thrive in their careers. Let’s work together to close the gap between education and the workforce.

  • Howard County Public School System high school students are exploring new career possibilities through a trailblazing apprenticeship initiative supported by Health Tech Alley and the Maryland Apprenticeship Connector. • Help Desk Support roles are essential to keep IT systems running smoothly in today’s tech-driven businesses. While entry-level, these roles require a strong mix of technical know-how and soft skills like communication and problem-solving. ➡️ 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙤𝙡𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣? Youth apprenticeships provide hands-on experience that not only addresses immediate support needs but also opens doors to advanced roles in network administration, cybersecurity, and system analysis. This path gives young professionals a strong foundation for a long-term career in tech.
