Additionally, ground turkey 🦃 or chicken 🍗 can be excellent alternatives for the meat component.* 🤙Ingredients: - 5 oz organic gluten-free bread crumbs 🍞 - 3/4 cup whole milk (grass-fed & organic, or raw milk if available) 🥛 - 2 lb. ground tri-meat mixture (veal, beef, and pork) 🥩 - 2 large eggs 🥚 - 1/2 cup finely minced yellow onion 🧅 - 2 tbsp minced garlic 🧄 - 2 tbsp finely chopped fresh basil 🌿 - 2 tbsp finely chopped fresh parsley 🌱 - 1 tbsp finely chopped fresh oregano 🌿 - 1 cup finely shredded Parmesan cheese 🧀 - Salt and freshly ground black pepper 🧂 - 3/4 cup + olive oil 🫒 - 48 oz of marinara sauce 🍅 ☀️Instructions: 1. In a large mixing bowl, stir together the bread crumbs and milk, adding more milk 1 tbsp at a time to fully moisten the bread. Let rest while you prep the other ingredients (or at least 5 minutes). ⏳ 2. Add the tri-meat, eggs, onion, garlic, basil, parsley, oregano, and Parmesan cheese. Season evenly with salt and pepper, then sprinkle the bread crumbs over the top. 🌈 3. Gently toss the mixture and break up the meat with your fingertips until everything is evenly mixed. 👩🍳 4. Shape the mixture into evenly sized meatballs. (I like to do this in the morning and place the meatballs in the freezer, which helps them hold together when cooking.) ❄️ 5. Heat olive oil in a large skillet: Pour 3/4 cup of olive oil into a 12-inch non-stick skillet and heat over medium heat. 🔥 6. Cook the meatballs until golden brown on the bottom, about 4–6 minutes. Then rotate them to the opposite side and cook until golden brown. Transfer to paper towels to drain. 🥄 7. Simmer the marinara sauce on the stovetop. Transfer the meatballs to warmed marinara sauce in a large pot, cover, and simmer over low heat until the meatballs reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit, gently tossing them occasionally, for about 15-20 minutes. 🍲 8.   • Do you…not….have…enough….time? 🤔 Achieving a balanced week with three strength training sessions 🏋️ and three cardio workouts 🏃 is entirely possible with effective scheduling 📅. Here's my structured weekly plan: *Monday: Strength training 🏋️♂️ with an option for a brief 20-minute cardio session 🏃♂️. *Tuesday: Focus on Zone Two cardio, ensuring at least 30 minutes ⏱️. *Wednesday: Strength training 🏋️♀️ accompanied by an optional 20-minute cardio session. *Thursday: Emphasize mindfulness with yoga 🧘. *Friday: Strength training 🏋️, complemented by an optional 20-minute cardio session. *Saturday:!A combination of strength training and cycling 🚴. *Sunday: Dedicated rest day 😴. This schedule reflects my ideal week 🌟. However, adaptability is crucial; if Saturday becomes challenging, adjustments are made 🔄. The goal is progress, not perfection. In my role as a father and fitness enthusiast 👨👧, planning is pivotal, acknowledging that life may necessitate flexibility 🔑.   • Should I do a detox, or are they a scam? 🤔 When it comes to the topic of detoxes, I approach it with a critical evaluation of both sides. 🧐 It's worth noting that the term "detox" is often leveraged as a marketing buzzword. 💸 One of my main concerns is that some individuals advocate for detoxes and supplements without personally using the products or possessing any credentials in health, fitness, or nutrition. This lack of authenticity is concerning. 😤 I've also seen individuals repeatedly engage in detoxes and fad diets in their quest for significant weight loss, without adopting sustainable habits for achieving and maintaining their goals. ⚖️ On the positive side, I undertake two Functional Medicine Detoxes annually ✌️ and recommend them to clients when, after thorough evaluation, I determine they would benefit. 👨⚕️ A detox intends to provide specific vitamins, compounds, and dietary practices that support the liver in detoxifying the body.🍏 Considering our exposure to numerous man-made chemicals, the body may occasionally require assistance. 🤷♀️ Although open for debate, I've observed several benefits, including improved sleep 😴, reduced inflammation 🩹, enhanced digestion, reduced joint pain, cleared brain fog, and stabilized blood sugar levels. 🔍 The critical element is following up with the right lifestyle habits to perpetuate progress, rather than reverting to habits that initially contributed to these symptoms. 🚀 If you have questions, please feel free to send me a message or connect via the link in my bio for a consultation. For those on a ketogenic diet (no judgments here), it’s understandable why you’d avoid them. However, for everyone else, bananas are perfectly fine and highly nutritious. 🍌 While it's not necessary to consume 5 a day, one or two can fit well into a balanced diet. This message applies to other fruits as well.
