The firm’s Chris Schwegmann, Chris Patton, Yaman Desai, and Kyle Gardner recently argued in one of the first substantive hearings before the state’s newly formed Business Court. The team represented a prominent private equity concern in a dispute involving a sale of assets and breach of fiduciary duty claims. The court is expected to render an opinion on the merits of the arguments within the next several weeks, providing guidance as to if or how the case may proceed. Congratulations to David Coale, Michael K. Hurst and Mike Lynn who have once again been recognized as Hall of Fame members on the annual D Magazine Best Lawyers in Dallas list. An attorney must be featured on the Best Lawyers list for at least 15 years to qualify for inclusion, and these three LPHS partners have been in the Hall of Fame since the list was established in 2022. The publication includes the top attorneys in the region as nominated by members of the North Texas legal community and reviewed by a select panel of attorneys and editorial staff.
