Every software out there claims to be “the best.” They say they’ll make you more efficient, more profitable. It’s easy to say you’re the best. It’s a lot harder to prove it. Which is why customer stories like this one are so special to us. We WANT you to feel confident that Loxo is the best. And when others out there are knocking on your door, making big promises, it’s hard not to wonder. But this recruitment firm did the hard work for you (and us 😉).

We get it: when things are "working," it can be easy to get complacent. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it," and all that... But the reality is that technology (and recruitment) are changing more rapidly than ever before. And the things that work today may not work tomorrow. We don't say that to scare you — but rather to encourage you to prioritize understanding your process (what works, what doesn't, and WHY) so that you can adapt to these changes more quickly, and with less guesswork. If you're not digging into your data to identify trends, analyze performance, and experiment with new tactics, you're missing out on insights that could be wildly transformative to your workflow (and your results). If you don't TRUST your data, that's a whole other problem. Our take: Prioritizing data integrity — and then data analysis — will be increasingly critical in 2025 and beyond.

Leveraging early adopters can be a GAME-CHANGER when it comes to any tech or process change. Finding those internal champions who are ready to lead the charge and make sure everyone is bought-in on workflow and best practices is SO KEY. Because if we've said it once, we've said it twice: User adoption is everything — because if you're not utilizing it properly and consistently, even the BEST tech can only go so far.

Even the best tool can't save you. Not if it isn't being used properly, consistently, and fully. Tools are just that — TOOLS. The humans who are wielding them are the ones who truly have the strategic power to use them well...or not. The success of any tech tool depends entirely on strategy, user adoption, and alignment with best practices. So often, our inclination is to say "THIS TOOL IS BROKEN," and throw the baby out with the bathwater...when it may actually be our strategy or our usage that's a bust.

Paul Sharpe has a question for you all: Besides recruiters, is there any other industry where you're expected to work for free? Paul estimates that recruiting agencies spend 70-80% of their time working for free — whether because roles get cancelled, put on hold, changed, etc. Chime in if you accept Paul's challenge (one that's 20-years in the making!) and can provide another industry that functions the same way.

InMails are expensive. Wayyyy too expensive to be flippant about. But the beauty of InMail is this: For every message you send, if you get a response, you get the initial credit back (basically making that send free). So what does that mean? Optimizing for responses should be your BIGGEST GOAL when it comes to sending InMails — whether that response is a "yes" or an "I'm not interested." Because that response: 1) Is data for you — and any data (even a "no") is good to have 2) Gives you your credit back Long story short? Spending the time to improve your InMail outreach is quite literally a strategy that can pay for itself.

Was Taylor Swift a recruiter in a past life? Because only someone who is deeply associated with the pain of being ghosted by hundreds of candidates could write about such heartbreak. 💔

Have you heard Taylor Swift's latest hit? It’s not Heart-Breaker or Peace-Lover... it’s Job-Hopper 🎶 Job-hoppers get a bad rap, and hey, hiring managers have their reasons:  ❌ "They'll leave us for the next shiny thing."   ❌ "This person is never satisfied."   ❌ "Probably a performance issue."   ❌ "Only 'good tenure' candidates for me!"  But let’s pause for the bridge. There's a plot twist. Resumes can scream “disloyal,” but often, the real story is:  🌟 Laid off after an acquisition.   🌟 Took time to care for a loved one.   🌟 Fell for the “big promises, no delivery” employer.   🌟 Fled a toxic workplace.  Before you judge the track 💿, hit play—ask the story behind the job changes. You might find a candidate worth the encore. 🎤✨

We’ve all been there—you buy some new tech, and it ends up gathering digital dust as a browser bookmark. Why? Because it didn’t fit your workflow. On The Staffing Ring Podcast, Sam Kuehnle from Loxo talks about why some tech tools get used daily while others are abandoned. It comes down to two things: ease of use and workflow integration. If the tool isn’t simple and doesn’t naturally fit into your daily tasks, it won’t deliver the value you bought it for. Sam shares how Loxo’s approach is different—it’s not about creating another point solution; it’s about understanding the recruiter’s workflow and building tech that supports that in as few clicks as possible. The goal? Make the recruiter’s job easier while driving better results. When evaluating tech, don’t just look at the features—look at how well it integrates into your team’s day-to-day.
