Last week, our HIV Prevention team highlighted our PrEP service line at the 2024 Jingle Bell Senior FEST, hosted by SENIOR TRADE SHOWS. This annual event brings together the 55+ community, along with their families and caregivers, to valuable resources focused on health, living, and recreation— all within a festive, holiday-themed atmosphere. Lone Star Circle of Care is excited to announce leadership changes in our Pediatrics and Behavioral Health service lines! 👏 Dr. Kavita Gajjar has been promoted to Medical Director of Pediatrics. She will oversee the operations and management of LSCC’s pediatrics service line and lead the development and implementation of pediatric healthcare strategies. 👏 Dr. Suneela Cherlopalle has been promoted to Director of Psychiatry. Her efforts will focus on streamlining care delivery, improving access, and maximizing resources to benefit our patients. These leadership changes mark an exciting new chapter in our commitment to exceptional, accessible care and continued support for our dedicated teams. Lone Star Circle of Care was honored to participate in Williamson County’s 13th Annual Mental Health in Schools Conference last week. Our very own Dydia Burnsed, Director of Behavioral Health Therapy-Quality, joined an insightful panel on the vital role of community-based care to support the mental health needs of youth in our communities. At LSCC, we provide integrated behavioral health services across our 27 clinic locations. By partnering with educators, counselors, and organizations, we aim to increase access to care to help young people thrive. Together, we’re building healthy families and strong communities.

November is National Diabetes Month and Diabetic Eye Disease Awareness Month, a time dedicated to raising awareness about the connection between diabetes and eye health. Diabetes increases the risk of diabetic eye diseases, particularly diabetic retinopathy, which can result in severe vision problems and even blindness. At Lone Star Circle of Care, our care teams work together to provide preventive screenings and resources tailored to the needs of our patients with diabetes, to help them safeguard their vision and overall health.
