Day One: LTA’s Eight Days of Thanks for Leaders at Every Level As we get closer to Thanksgiving Day, let’s take a moment to reflect on the incredible power of gratitude in leadership. Leaders who express appreciation and celebrate their teams create a culture of recognition inspiring loyalty and excellence. They show us that leading with gratitude contributes to a future built on mutual respect and shared success.

Many think leadership intelligence is simply a matter of cognitive strength. But it’s more than intellectual “smarts”—it’s how an executive uses their cognitive smarts alongside other “intelligences” to achieve objectives. Here’s what I mean. Having the ability to process information and situations with clear thinking is at the core of great leadership. Yet, having the ability to mobilize good decisions by knowing how to translate good thinking into effective execution, and the right outcomes is what sets the best leaders apart. It comes down to leveraging multiple “intelligences” alongside critical and strategic thinking. For instance, ‘Personal Leadership Intelligence’ is having the self-awareness to reflect, challenge and adapt as the situation requires; ‘Relational Intelligence’ is non-negotiable to work effectively with and through others; and ‘Executional and Organizational Intelligence’ supports effective problem solving to achieve organizational outcomes.
