    How to keep from sounding like every other newsletter out there: 1. Share your story and personal journey. 2. Include hobbies and niche subjects that no one is talking about. 3. Write a hyper niche newsletter. Which would you rather, 10k meh subscribers or 1k brand champions? 4. Include different forms of media in your editions, comics, voice, video, just don't go overboard. 5. Write about quick relatable stories you've experienced. Can't find them anywhere else. 6. Share about failures and setbacks. People don't want to hear from another perfect celebrity, your failures are something everyone can learn from. 7. Create a great UX with your newsletter. This is a huge one, from first touch to the 100th email, it should draw people in with every step and make it ease for them to love your newsletter. 8. Poll & segment your audience. It's an easy way to personalize your content for the reader. (Which is impossible on any other type of social media😎). Which of these did you find most helpful?     Crafting a good email is about bringing an authentic voice to unique storytelling. Everyone has a tone, they have words that are specific to them. We're a culmination of those that have influenced us into a boiling pot of language. There are reasons the best newsletters stick out to you, that's because those people have embraced their tone and style and amplify it. Here is a good way to help you discover your voice in writing. 1. Record yourself talking about a subject you love. This must be something you could talk about for hours so that it's as natural as possible. 2. Transcribe the recording and look for the words and phrases you use most often. 3. Now, start adding those unique touches to your content, long form or short form. 4. Then record yourself reading the content you've written and see if it sounds more natural for you to speak and in your voice. (It should also be easier to remember as well) This process can take some time, but it's worth it. Not only that, but if you have audio and video content.
