Each time this year, without fail- I get incredibly nostalgic about my summer jobs growing up- the jobs I had before my first full-time gig. 🐷 Selling BBQ at the Wisconsin State Fair 🤸♂️ Teaching gymnastics for the Tosa Recreation Department  🏡 Painting houses  👩🎓 Orienting freshman at the University of Wisconsin 🍻 Giving tours at Miller Brewing Summer jobs meant a break from the day to day of school life, a chance to hang out with friends- make some much needed cash to save for college. What I didn’t appreciate until later is that these were the types of jobs where there was no work to take home at the end of shift. And although I worked full-time, the freedom of mind I had to enjoy the best parts of a midwestern summer meant that the free time I did have- felt truly free. Heading into summer, one of my favorite questions to ask my clients and friends is If you could have any “summer job” this summer, what would it be? ❤️ Photo by Víctor Vázquez on Unsplash
