Yesterday, we proudly celebrated the incredible impact of our **Sustainability and Innovation Fund**, which has empowered **83 small businesses** across Southeastern Wisconsin. Thanks to this initiative, **$2 million** in capital and technical assistance has been distributed, creating a staggering **$5.9 million+ economic impact**. Designed to support underbanked businesses hit hardest by the challenges of COVID-19, inflation, and supply chain disruptions, this program has provided the resources needed to recover, grow, and thrive. 💬 **In their own words:** 👉 *"This forgivable loan not only kept my doors open but also connected me with a marketing coach who helped strengthen my business."* – Dora Martinez, Owner of Dora Martinez Child Care. 👉 *"This program gave me the opportunity to invest in a stronger digital marketing strategy, significantly enhancing my ability to reach and serve my customers."* – Angela Mallet, Founder of Honey Bee Sage & Wellness Café. This transformative fund was made possible through the **American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA)**, managed and distributed by the **Wisconsin Department of Administration**. Huge thanks to everyone who joined us and to our member Antigua Latin Inspired Kitchen for sponsoring the delicious food! Together, we’re building a resilient and innovative community! 💪🌎#Sustainabilityandinnovation #WIEconomicImpact #LCCSEW

As a proud partner of Wells Fargo, we are excited to share its latest report highlighting women entrepreneurs. ⤵️ The 2024 Wells Fargo Impact of Women-Owned Businesses report revealed that women own 14 million businesses (representing 39.1% of all businesses), employ 12.2 million workers, and generate $2.7 trillion in revenue! These businesses experienced dramatic growth from 2019-2023, yet women-owned businesses could make a greater impact if the gaps between women and men were closed. The report brings new awareness to the historical differences in wealth, business experience, size of networks, industry specialization, and capital access—particularly among women of color—that impact women's ability to start and grow businesses. The report explores the kinds of support that make a difference, such as the enhanced networks and support organizations like the USHCC provides, to bridge the gaps that exist to further expand the impact these businesses have on the economy. 📌 READ THE REPORT: https://bit.ly/3CudzDN
