Innovation galore. 🤩 Our M-Prize Competition returned this year, hosting entrepreneurial-minded students from Marquette University to participate in an innovation sprint and pitch competition inspired by our annual I-Prize innovation challenge. This year’s theme, “Every Drop Counts,” invited students to develop innovative solutions focused on reducing water consumption. Over the course of six weeks, students from all majors were invited to Kohler Co. headquarters to develop their design thinking skills under the mentorship of our Innovation for Good by Kohler and Sustainable Living teams. The program culminated in an in-person competition where teams pitched their (top-secret) ideas to a panel of Kohler and Marquette leaders—and wow, did they deliver! ✨ Makers in Place: Kohler Celebrates 50 Years of Arts/Industry ✨ During #MiamiArtWeek, we celebrated the conclusion of our Arts/Industry residency program’s 50th anniversary year with a pop-up exhibition showcasing 50+ pieces created by artists in our very own factories. Alumni artists, designers, architects, customers, and partners were among the guests who stopped by the exhibition in Miami to enjoy the distinguished collection. Founded in 1974 by Ruth DeYoung Kohler II and Herbert V. Kohler, Jr., the Arts/Industry program is a partnership between John Michael Kohler Arts Center and Kohler Co. that facilitates a dynamic collaboration of contemporary artists and Kohler’s skilled industrial artisans. More than 500 artists have been welcomed into our Pottery and Foundry to learn, teach, explore, and expand their artistic practices. Our headquarters in Kohler, WI, came alive with the spirit of Diwali—uniting teams to celebrate and learn about the festival of lights. 🪔 ✨ More than 200 associates gathered for authentic Indian food and henna tattoos thanks to our Namaste business resource group dedicated to sharing Indian culture and traditions. Four days of pure ✨MAGIC✨ at the 2024 Global Wellness Summit! Congratulations to our Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort & Spa team who hosted this year’s event in St. Andrews, Scotland. The annual summit brought together wellness experts from around the world for inspiring conversations and immersive experiences to impact and shape the future of global wellness industries. Kohler Wellness leaders Nina B. Kohler and Ashley Kohler joined in the action, delivering keynote speeches and hosting interactive sessions. Dr. Jonathan Leary, who recently partnered with Kohler to develop The Ice Bath x Remedy Place, also shared his insights. This year’s theme, A Watershed Moment for Wellness, focused on the importance of protecting our water resources and explored the recent explosion of interest in hydrotherapy bathing, saunas, hot springs, cold immersion, and wild swimming.
