Delicious, trustworthy, premium cannabis-infused edibles since 2010, inc. Kiva, Terra, Petra, Camino & Lost Farm.
About us
Kiva was founded in 2010 with a clear mission - change how the world views and uses cannabis for the better. Frustrated by the inconsistent, low-quality edibles available at the time, a young couple began making chocolate bars out of their Bay Area home kitchen. Today, their award-winning chocolates, mints, and gummies are the most trusted, recommended, and sought after on the market. For this, Kiva has become the most recognized edible brand in cannabis with a loyal customer base throughout thousands of dispensaries and a direct to consumer hemp channel across 36+ states.

Green Wednesday is next week! As the cannabis version of Black Friday and one of the largest shopping days of the year for cannabis consumers and dispensaries, it’s a day to explore new products, stock up for the holidays, and introduce cannabis to those in your life who have yet to be enlightened. At Kiva Brands, Inc., we believe cannabis has a place at the Thanksgiving table just like wine. A Camino gummy in the morning smooths out chaos in the kitchen and a Kiva chocolate bar after dinner helps to connect with loved ones, maybe even those on the other side of the aisle. Where do you usually pick up your Kiva favorites? Got a go-to dispensary or spot that always comes through for you? I’d love to hear where you’re planning to stock up for the holidays—and what’s on your list this year. Green Wednesday is the perfect time to discover something new before everything flies off the shelves. #greenwednesday #thanksgiving

Daylight Savings was on Sunday, tomorrow is Election Day...is everyone else losing sleep, too? Friday marked the beginning of National Sleep Comfort Month, so now seems like the perfect time to reflect on our sleep habits. Disruptions like time changes and big events can throw even the best of us off track, making it harder to get consistent, restful sleep. For many couples, sharing a bed can add even more complexity, contributing to what’s known as a Sleep Divorce—when couples sleep in separate rooms to improve sleep quality. In case you missed it, I recently posted the results of The Harris Poll survey we did, which found that 79% of Americans who sleep with a partner have considered sleeping apart, though 64% say something holds them back. More than twice as many would rather try cannabis to improve sleep than separate, but only 24% have explored this option so far. Sleep isn’t a luxury—it’s essential for overall physical, mental and emotional wellness. As parents, founders, and professionals, getting enough rest impacts everything we do. If the time change, election and other stressors leave you tossing and turning, try incorporating products with ingredients like CBN. This month, let’s make a promise to prioritize rest—for our families, businesses, and ourselves. https://lnkd.in/gEm8JtJi #cbn #sleepdivorce #sleephabits #daylightsavings

Throughout the year, and especially around Halloween, we hear reports of cannabis-infused products getting into the hands of children. Last year we were alerted to an incident that one of our products was mixed in with regular candy at a school Halloween event. While these types of reports threaten to undo the work we’ve done as an industry to erase the stigma around the plant, it is a good reminder of the shared responsibility we have in keeping our children safe. I can confidently say that we, and the majority of our colleagues in the regulated cannabis industry, prioritize child safety. Our commitment is reflected in stringent industry-wide regulations covering product packaging, safety testing, dispensary access, and various other safety measures. While we do the work on our end to keep cannabis products out of the reach of children, it is crucial for parents to remain vigilant, especially around Halloween. We did a LinkedIn post last year urging parents to take precautionary measures to protect their children from all hazards they could encounter this holiday and I wanted to post it here again as it’s a great reminder of the shared responsibility we all have in keeping our children safe. Halloween Safety Tips: 🎃 - Walk with your children. 🎃 - Know where you are trick-or-treating and only visit homes with a lit porch light. 🎃 - Use flashlights, glow sticks, or reflective costumes to make children more visible. 🎃 - Walk on sidewalks and cross streets on designated crosswalks, never in-between parked cars. 🎃 - Always inspect candy and treats before letting your kids eat them. 🎃 - Throw away any candy that your kids could be allergic to, that are marked for adults, that are unwrapped or appear tampered with, as well as any “fresh-made” goodies unless you personally know the giver. 🎃 - For young children, be on the lookout for potential choking hazards. Happy (almost) Halloween from all of us at Kiva! #halloween #halloweensafetytips #childsafety

We all know love and trust are keys to a strong relationship, but what about sleep? Many couples are turning to "Sleep Divorce" – sleeping separately to avoid restless nights in shared beds. Sounds extreme, but you'd be surprised how widespread the issue is. To dive into the facts, we commissioned a recent Harris Poll and made some surprising discoveries (including how alternative sleep aids might be the REAL solution).
As a mother and entrepreneur, I’m pulled in many directions throughout the day and I know just how hard it can be to get good quality sleep, consistently. This becomes even more challenging for some people sharing a bed or a room with a partner. We heard about the “Sleep Divorce” trend, the term given to the practice of couples sleeping in separate beds or rooms to improve sleep quality and overall well-being, gaining in popularity and while it works wonders for some, it’s not practical for everyone. We worked with The Harris Poll to survey 2000+ Americans about Sleep Divorce and found that 79% of Americans who sleep with a partner said they want a Sleep Divorce. However, 64% of them say something is preventing them from separating. More than double the number of Americans with a partner said they would prefer to try cannabis products that support sleep quality (22%) versus a Sleep Divorce (11%). And only 24% of people with a sleep quality issue with their partner have tried cannabis edibles for sleep which is such a low number considering there are many safe and consistent cannabis and hemp products specifically to promote better quality sleep available legally across the country. With National Sleep Comfort month coming up in November, we encourage every adult considering a Sleep Divorce to first try a Camino gummy! Our edibles with CBN for sleep are our best seller in the majority of the 36+ markets we’re in so we were delighted to see our Camino Midnight Blueberry (and our Camino Wild Cherry) featured in a recent story in New York Magazine's The Strategist. We are even more delighted that our products can help someone like Dawn Super, the woman highlighted in the story, get the sleep she needs. There are many different tools available to people trying to consistently get good quality sleep and sometimes mainstream media fails to include cannabis as one of them. It’s important that people know that cannabis and hemp products with CBN are an option, especially if they have tried other solutions that haven’t worked for them. We hear from customers all the time that our products help them in many different ways. We even had one woman write to us to share that after trying our products, she had her first full night’s sleep in eight years. Eight years! Thanks to Kitty Guo and the team of editors at The Strategist for including cannabis, and more specifically Camino, in this story. https://lnkd.in/gfGc4xFz

Last week, our President and Co-Founder, Kristi, spoke at Benzinga's Cannabis Capital Conference. She shared some thoughts on making a truly memorable experience for our consumers, plus how she and Scott went on the road to see how brands appear in dispensaries in different markets.
I had the privilege of speaking on a panel at the Benzinga's Cannabis Capital Conference earlier this week about cultivating loyalty in cannabis retail and strategies for influencing customer engagement and loyalty in a competitive market. At Kiva, we understand that making safe, consistent and delicious edibles isn’t enough to earn customer loyalty. We need to create a memorable experience for people in the dispensary - and that starts with a budtender who is knowledgeable and enthusiastic about recommending our products. As one of many brands on dispensary shelves, it’s important to work together with our dispensary partners to ensure budtenders have the knowledge and tools they need to feel confident recommending our products. We create specific budtender education materials, budtender samples (where we can) and we spend time in the dispensaries. Our commercial teams are also known to conduct education and merchandising “blitzes” when launching a new product or introducing products in a new market. As founders, Scott and I make a point of spending time in dispensaries across the country, engaging with budtenders and store managers every month to listen to their take on the category and feedback about our brands and products. Sometimes we also take a turn at leading a budtender education session or manning a demo table because there is no better place to get real and sometimes humbling feedback, and also have a direct touchpoint with potential and existing Kiva Brands, Inc. customers. We care deeply about delivering the best quality in everything we do - not just products but also beautifully designed and well-thought out training materials, store POS materials, displays and SWAG. Every single touchpoint with buyers, budtenders and consumers is an opportunity to foster loyalty. #customerloyalty
