Forico Pty Limited, Tasmania’s largest private forest manager, announced a partnership with Pano AI to deploy four new bushfire detection stations to help safeguard 173,000 hectares of forests, conservation areas, and rural communities in North West Tasmania. This initiative aims to strengthen collaboration with the Tasmania Fire Service and Forico’s firefighting teams to respond faster and more effectively to fire threats. By adopting advanced technology, Forico is not only protecting its assets but also supporting nearby communities and infrastructure. As Burnie Mayor Teeny Brumby noted, “Adopting advanced technology is key to safeguarding natural resources and ensuring the long-term success of critical infrastructure projects.” We’re proud to partner with Forico on this effort, leveraging our AI-powered detection network across more than 2 million hectares in Australia. Celebrating Innovation and Impact. Cumucore, one of the incredible startups from our Batch 8 cohort, has been honored with the 2024 TeckNexus "Private Network Excellence in Public Safety" award. In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, Cumucore partnered with Ripsim, Mosolabs, and Starlink to deploy a rapid, scalable private mobile network in Western North Carolina.
