✈️ Take a quick trip with us to KFC Bangladesh ✈️ where our restaurants are used as classrooms for a community program called Shopner Pathshala, which translates to “School of Dreams.”   Before operating hours, more than a dozen KFC restaurants transform into classrooms to provide local children with basic education, vocational training and a safe environment to learn and grow. Since its inception just 1.5 years ago, the program has expanded twofold and now supports over 300 children ages 6 to 13.   Big thanks our franchise partners Transcom Foods Limited and the KFC India business unit team for their passion and commitment to fuel better futures and help make dreams come true for these children.   #ShopnerPathshala #FeedingPeoplesPotential #CommunityImpact

There’s a lot going on behind the bucket at KFC UK & Ireland. Take a look at the important work they’ve been involved with to shift the negative perceptions young people face when it comes to work 👇 #KFCUKI #LifeatKFC

At KFC, we’re committed to creating a work culture where young people are valued and empowered 💡   This year, we’ve teamed up with our friends at KISS FM on our mission to champion young people and their futures through building on all the work we do in our communities to feed young people’s potential through the KFC Youth Foundation, Hatch with UK Youth, and our food donation programme in partnership with FareShare UK. To shine a light on the barriers young people are facing, we hosted a panel event last night with our friends at KISS and The News Movement, featuring Rebecca Frank, Content Director at KISS, young creative Ruby Archibald, TNM’s Christian Sayers, and KFC’s very own Ali Hussain and Ahava-Shaffra Gray-Read. The group discussed the importance of valuing young people’s potential over perception, busting negative perceptions and empowering young people.   We know there’s still work to be done to help young people access the opportunities they deserve – the fact is, young people are facing negative stereotypes daily. Our latest research, in partnership with UK Youth, has found that 93% of young people have experienced issues in the workplace just for being young, which is a truly shocking statistic.    As one of the largest youth employers in the country, we see the huge potential that every young person has. And to bring the voices and views of young people into the way we do business at KFC, we’re introducing our first-ever Youth Advisory Board, in partnership with Youth Beyond Borders (YBB). So, if you’re aged between 18-25, you can apply here: https://lnkd.in/eCZADxQS 👈 #KFCUKI #LifeatKFC

Driving Sustainability for a Brighter Tomorrow KFC Africa’s Chief Operations and Supply Chain Officer, Siyabulela Ngcukana (He/Him/His) took part in a fireside chat at Economist Impact’s first Sustainability Week Africa, held in Cape Town. The event focused on how companies on the continent can accelerate their sustainability progress. The Economist’s Africa correspondent, Ore Ogunbiyi, chatted with Siya and Alexander Osinga, the CEO of Greenspoon – Kenya’s top e-commerce platform for people who want to know where their food comes from. Siya shared how KFC’s efforts in this space has seen the removal of more than 600 tons of plastic annually from consumer packaging. As a part of the responsibility of being South Africa’s biggest quick-service restaurant group, KFC is working hard to educate its customers about the importance of sustainable products and practices in the fast-food sector. When it comes to food waste efficiencies, Siya said that it is important for a country like South Africa to adopt the legislation required to enable this work, in other words a ‘Good Samaritan’ law. In many countries, these laws make it easier to give food to non-profit organisations that feed people in need. KFC Africa’s parent company, Yum!, has taken advantage of Good Samaritan laws to build the world’s largest prepared-food donation programme, Harvest. It operates in 15 countries and donates 2,000 tons of food every year. Links: Economist Impact Fireside chat - https://brnw.ch/21wOLrr

Food always brings people together and it’s extra special when we work side by side to do our favorite thing: cook chicken and serve our guests.   Proud of our KFC UK & Ireland team who celebrated Founders Week by rolling up their sleeves and making sure our surplus chicken goes to those in need.   #LifeatKFC #KFCUKI

A Founding Success 🏆   Our annual Founders Week is all about celebrating and recognising the incredible work our restaurant teams do for our guests and our brand every day. This year, our Restaurant Support Centre teams travelled across the UK & Ireland to step into the shoes of our Founder—working shifts alongside our teams, from serving guests to breading chicken, leaving no drumstick unturned.   A special shout out to SME Group Plc’s Feltham restaurant, where our leadership team spent the day and combined their shift with a visit to our food donation partner, Claire Hopkins from Surplus to Supper, who support over 50 charities, using left-over food from just eight of our restaurants.   We believe that no one should go hungry, and that good food - especially great chicken, should never go to waste. That is why we proudly partner FareShare UK to donate surplus chicken to community kitchens across the UK.   During their visit, our leadership team saw first-hand the real impact our food donations have, and how they’re making a difference for those in need. Since our food donation started in 2021 we have donated over 2 million meals.   Check out the highlights below ⬇️   #LifeatKFC #KFCUKI
