About us
Hello! We’re a small—but mighty—design studio specializing in clean, intentional, and impactful creative solutions. We believe relationships matter. We dive deep to understand our clients’ goals. And then we meet them. From brand strategy to creative execution, we collaborate like nobody’s business. And then we do what it takes to help brands cut through the noise. From complex rebrands to simple campaigns, we live to make meaningful brands and ideas more beautiful, understandable, and impactful. We’re especially honored when we get to be part of something that’s philosophically bigger than us. We love doing good work for clients who are doing good.

Yesterday, I wore so many hats!!! 🎩 And I don’t even look very good in hats. Just a few (and yes—some of them I wore many at the same time!) included: parent hat, daughter hat, wife hat, friend hat, boss hat, host hat, guest hat, creator hat, reviewer hat, expert hat, novice hat, and of course… a regular old winter hat! Whew! Identity crisis? Maybe! There are two hats from yesterday that I can’t stop thinking about this morning. And if you saw me with either of these hats on, please reach out and say hi!!! (and tell me I looked okay???): 1️⃣ Host hat: I led J Sherman Studio's final webinar of 2024! I welcomed people into our enthusiastic world of design and shared everything from work ethics considerations to practical tips like how many words should go on a line. (Spoiler: fewer than you think!) 2️⃣ Guest hat: I joined an incredible virtual holiday party for women consultants. Huge thanks to Smart Gets Paid for hosting such a powerful, energizing event—it’s a gift and I left inspired by so many smart women in business. Both hats brought me new friends and new energy! And while both were exhilarating and exhausting in their own ways, I’m just so grateful for the push to show up. It’s not always easy (I’m just a smidge introverted), but it’s always worth it. Here’s to ALL the hats. Because life would be boring if we only wore one. If you attended either of these events, please say hi—I’d love to keep the conversation going. Or just send me a hat emoji you think fits!

Here we are, heading into the final stretch of 2024, and believe it or not, we still have some capacity left before the clock strikes midnight on December 31st. (Okay, maybe until December 23rd if we’re being real.) Got a bit of something left? Unfinished to-do’s, year-end goals, a budget to spend down, or just a little determination to make a big impact? We have some ENERGY left We’re fueled up (don’t worry, there’s always coffee... and Julie’s tea stash!). We have some TIME left Yes, we’re clocking hours, and we’re pros at fast turnarounds. Some of the best work comes from less futzing! We have some DREAMS left This work means something to us, and there’s still time to turn ideas into impact before we close out the year. We have some IDEAS left Honestly, they multiply like gremlins here (yes, we may have given them a bath). We have a billion ready to go! We have some BRAVERY left We’re not afraid to try bold ideas to make an impact. This year isn’t over yet, and neither is our courage to go big. We have some HUMOR left If there’s one thing this year has taught us, it’s to handle the hard stuff and still laugh about it. So, what DO you have left? Drop us a line, and let’s make it count before we kiss this wild year goodbye!

We’re feeling all the feels this Giving Tuesday, thinking about the incredible nonprofits, funders, and foundations we’ve had the privilege to work with over the past 17 years. 💛 🧡 ❤️ Their work makes the world brighter, kinder, and better every single day. Our list of social impact focused clients—past and present—is long (we've been around for a while!) and we can’t tag everyone—but we hope everyone feels the love! If you’re looking to give today, check out the comments for just a small handful of the amazing organizations and funders doing work that inspires us—whether it’s field building, direct impact, funding, or more. Tagging them is our way of sharing their goodness with the world and sneaking in a little “hello” to old friends we’ve fallen out of touch with. Thank you for being part of our story. So—happy Giving Tuesday, everyone! Donate, volunteer, or spread the word—every little bit makes a difference. Let’s show up for all the good in the world! 🌍💌 #GivingTuesday

Who is into holiday decorations? What other time of year offers sparkly everything? We are all for it. Bring on the ornaments, tacky holiday sweaters, and twinkling lights. Whatever you are celebrating, please eat some yummy food for us, please tell us about the embarrassing relatives and what they said that no one could believe, and please take some time for yourself. It’s been a wild year—thanks for being a part of it with us!
